Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our growing and thriving organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient interaction and wants to build a career in healthcare— no prior ophthalmic or optical experience required . We provide all necessary training to help you succeed. What You’ll Get Hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers across Gundersen Health System Comprehensive training—no optical experience needed Starting hourly rate of $17.54/hour , with higher pay available based on experience Exposure to a specialty care environment with opportunities to grow and learn Emplify Health is comprised of two of the Midwest’s most respected healthcare systems, Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience
- Strong communication skills and a desire to help patients feel informed and comfortable
Responsibilities
- Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Typical hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Be based at Gundersen’s La Crosse Main Campus
- Have the opportunity to travel to various Gundersen optical locations
- Support providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments
