Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous patient care experience is preferred
  • Completion of, or enrollment in, or willingness to enroll in the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) home study course is preferred.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and build a career in advanced ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

  • Performing patient workups and preliminary testing to provide doctors with the precise baseline data needed to plan highly accurate, life-changing vision corrections.
  • Conducting advanced diagnostic testing to ensure a highly customized, safe, and successful treatment plan for every patient.
  • Facilitating efficient clinical flow by proactively managing schedules and communication to respect our patients' time and maximize quality doctor-patient interactions.
  • Triaging patient phone inquiries to provide peace of mind, empathetic care, and accurate clinical guidance when patients need it most.
  • Maintaining and stocking exam lanes to guarantee a pristine, safe, orderly, and highly efficient working environment for our clinical team.
  • Processing prescription and prior authorization requests to eliminate post-visit barriers and ensure patients get their medications promptly.
  • Participating in team meetings and professional growth to continuously elevate our clinic's standard of care and contribute to a high-performing culture.
