About The Position
The Ophthalmic Assistant supports patient care delivery, participates in administrative tasks, and assists with healthcare projects at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. This per-diem, onsite role offers hands-on experience in a healthcare environment and contributes to professional development. The position is scheduled for a day shift, with 0 scheduled weekly hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field.
- 0–1 year of experience required.
- Strong interest in the healthcare industry and desire to gain practical experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.
- Detail-oriented, with good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in basic computer software.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute as part of a healthcare team.
