About The Position

As an ophthalmic assistant at Carolina Eyecare, you will receive hands-on training that prepares you for a fulfilling career in ophthalmology. Requirements

Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
High School Diploma or GED required
willing to train the right person

Nice To Haves

Previous experience within the medical field
experience in optometry or ophthalmology a plus

Responsibilities

Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment
Conduct tonometry tests to measure intraocular pressure
Measure visual acuity.
Take and document patients' medical histories.
Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision.
Instruct patients in the care and use of contact lenses.
