About The Position
Provides basic preparation of the patient for ophthalmic tests, evaluation, or treatment ensuring quality patient services.
Requirements
- Certification through JCAHPO as an Ophthalmic Assistant is required within two years of hire date.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- Detail oriented individual with strong human relations and organizational skills.
- Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited home study course in Ophthalmic Assisting
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program
- Equivalent related experience.
