Your Role The Operational Excellence Manager will play a pivotal role in implementing our Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives at the St. Paul, Minnesota manufacturing plant. You will collaborate with a world-class team to implement proven strategies and ensure flawless execution of key projects! Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations and/or plant manufacturing or engineering, with at least 3 years of successful process improvement experience
  • Proven experience managing teams and developing support programs
  • Proficiency in LEAN tools and methodology is essential
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and directly lead or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong skills in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire change.
  • Outstanding reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in both the local language and English, coupled with strong teaching and presentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably, they hold an MBA, MS or other technical graduate degree preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the site management to drive the site’s continuous improvement journey
  • Develop and implement site-level OpEx deployment plan, encompassing the Baxter Growth & Performance System (GPS), Margin Improvement Projects (MIPs), Lean Certification Programs, Best Practice Sharing, Tier meetings, iCare, and other initiatives.
  • Lead site project governance overseeing the intake, evaluation, execution, and closure of site projects.
  • Administer the site project management software.
  • Assist leadership in establishing baseline and target metrics for key processes
  • Work with site leadership to install organizational supports for Operational Excellence including governance, communications, and rewards.
  • Facilitate site strategic planning process
  • Coach and mentor site Black Belt and Green Belt candidates to ensure timely completion of their quality and/or cost focused projects- ultimately leading to the candidate’s certification
