About The Position

Apply knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling and fixturing design and applications Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and its procedures and processes through improved layout and material handling procedures. Train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures. Plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility. Lead events such as Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve factory cost-out target in your support area. Determine optimal manufacturing methods to produce parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for new products or customer orders requiring extensive planning consistent with overall division objectives. Conduct line capacity analysis and lead labor productivity improvement initiatives to achieve the business objective. Specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for use in manufacturing. Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch through the creation of Process Maps, Standard Work, Takt Times, Potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analysis for production lines. Support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Greenwood, SC facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC and related software (Microsoft Office, ERP SAP, AS400, AutoCAD).
