JOB SUMMARY – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Lead the design and execution of a new international distribution and warehousing network and drive the second wave of operational efficiency following a major restructuring. This role will own end-to-end analysis of the post-restructuring product portfolio, building business cases for insourcing vs. outsourcing to improve absorption at our remaining manufacturing location. In parallel, the leader will modernize enterprise systems (EDI/ERP) and leverage AI/analytics to unlock sustained cost savings, service improvements, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Level of Degree in the Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business APICS/CSCP/Lean
  • Equivalent work related experience acceptable in lieu of degree Yes X No
  • 10-15 years of demonstrated experience in global supply chain, distribution/warehousing, or operations transformation; strong record of leading multi-region networks
  • Experience with 3PLs/4PLs, WMS/TMS, ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle/Microsoft), and EDI integrations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, S&OP/IBP, costing/absorption, and make/buy decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Global Distribution & Warehousing Strategy
  • Design an international distribution and warehousing network to support growth in EMEA/APAC/LATAM, including 3PL selection, multi-node inventory strategy, and trade compliance.
  • Build a customer-centric service model (SLAs, cut-offs, shipping modes, reverse logistics) that balances cost-to-serve and speed.
  • Lead RFPs, contracts, pricing models, and implementation roadmaps with logistics providers and warehouse operators.
  • Define network KPIs: OTIF, perfect order rate, landed cost per unit, inventory turns, and order cycle time.
  • Operational Efficiency (Post-Restructuring)
  • Identify and implement process optimizations across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, and order management to drive year-1 cost reductions and year-2 scalability.
  • Partner with HR/Finance to realign staffing toward a lean operating model (span of control, skill matrices, shift patterns).
  • Build standard work and tiered accountability (Gemba, daily management, visual performance boards).
  • Product & Make/Buy Strategy
  • Own end-to-end product rationalization for the portfolio that remains post-restructuring; quantify gross margin, contribution margin, and cost-to-serve.
  • Develop business cases for insourcing vs. outsourcing, focusing on absorption improvements and capacity utilization at the remaining plant.
  • Lead supplier/CM/ODM evaluations, risk assessments, and transition plans for make/buy decisions.
  • Digital Enablement (EDI, ERP, AI/Analytics)
  • Drive phase-two ERP optimization (e.g., planning parameters, ATP/CTP, WMS/TMS integration, costing accuracy).
  • Expand EDI coverage with key customers, suppliers, and 3PLs; increase automation of ASN, PO, invoice, and shipping confirmations.
  • Deploy AI/advanced analytics for demand sensing, predictive replenishment, dynamic routing, and exception management.
  • Establish a data governance framework and dashboards with actionable insights.
  • Leadership & Change Management
  • Build a high-performing team (internal + external partners) to deliver network transformation and operational efficiencies.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment (Sales, Finance, IT, Operations, Quality, Regulatory).
  • Communicate progress with clear milestones and benefit tracking to executive leadership.
  • May perform other duties as assigned
