FLSA Status: Location: Freeport, TX Job Summary As an Operator at Freeport LNG, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's commitment to safety, environmental excellence, continuous improvement, and teamwork. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of your assigned unit in the field, working under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and Shift Team Leader. This position requires working a rotating schedule with flexibility to accommodate changes and provide overtime coverage as needed. Daily responsibilities include executing field activities and implementing operational directives from the Panel Operator. You will also collaborate closely with other field operators and DCS control room personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Requirements

Associates Degree in Process technology; or; High School Graduate or GED equivalent with 1+ years’ applicable experience working in operations within and LNG, NGL or chemical plant
Good written/verbal technical communication skills
Ability to receive and follow work instructions from Supervisors/Team leaders
Active learner
Self-starter/motivated
Ability to follow operating procedures
Good mechanical background
Trained in Emergency Response
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
Strong commitment to HSE with the ability to inspire and lead others
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System.
Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies.
Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility.
Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
Must be able to wear all necessary PPE to perform job functions.
Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization/security clearance through a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift.
The incumbent is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent will be required to talk and hear.
May be required to enter confined spaces.
May be required to work at elevated heights.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in Process technology with 3+ years’ applicable experience working in operations within and LNG, NGL or chemical plant
Experience in operations of an LNG Technology utilizing a DCS system
Experience with the operations of a Honeywell Experion DCS System

Responsibilities

Make control changes in the field as necessary to ensure smooth overall operations
Comply with all facility safety, environmental and health requirements
Conduct scheduled rounds of outside facility to ensure parameters are within the safe operating envelope
Monitor all plant equipment (oil levels, vibration, etc.) and correct or report problems
Permit daily work in accordance with company procedures
Apply energy isolation systems in accordance with company procedures
Complete progression plan as instructed by supervision and training staff
Complete facility specific training and duties as assigned by site supervision
Obtain all samples as required
Attend routine Safety meetings and updates
Assert and follow all Life Saving Rules
Participate and train in emergency response actions as an Initial Response Team (IRT) member on-shift in an emergency event.
Must be able to attend planned and or scheduled regulatory trainings and/or drills as required to maintain IRT/ERT status.
Must be able to work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule, work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and share on-call duties.
Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization/security clearance through a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by facility supervision.
