About The Position

The Ziegenfelder Operator is responsible for ensuring machines are running properly at the proper speed, assisting maintenance to ensure machines are in proper operational condition, and drawing mix for production as needed. This role ensures quality standards of products are met, that the proper number of supplies is present for the shift, and that there is safe and efficient operation of production lines, producing quality Ziegenfelder treats for delivery to customers. The Operator will lead by example in a manner consistent with Ziegenfelder Values, follow all GMP and SQF procedures and practices, and assist in training new operators. Additionally, the Operator ensures the work area is clean and organized and all rework is complete, accurately completes all production consumption of raw materials in Business Central, and supports all departments as needed to produce and package quality Ziegenfelder treats. The role involves verifying RedZone for completion and accuracy of raw material usage, metal detector audits, and product quality checks, and undertaking proper corrective/preventative actions when there is a safety, quality, or defective product event. All relevant departmental communication must be conducted promptly, accurately, and through appropriate channels.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years of experience in a management or leadership role required, preferably in the food manufacturing environment.
Ability to motivate and lead in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred.
Mechanical or operational background, in addition to the above qualifications, is a plus.
