About The Position

The Techline Operator is responsible for all tasks associated with distribution line work, including working from a pole with climbing gear, bucket truck, or while on the ground. The Techline Operator works with machines and uses tools and is familiar with how to operate, repair, and maintain equipment. The Techline Operator must be careful, attentive, and persistent as well as be able to concentrate on tasks without being distracted and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least one (1) year of extensive experience working in same or related field
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Able to work in a warehouse environment, which includes adapting to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather.
• Able to meet physical requirements such as but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting and maneuvering up 50 lbs. or more without assistance, and more.

Responsibilities

• Control a variety of power-generating equipment and machinery during normal operation, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repair procedures.
• Read charts, meters, and gauges to monitor voltage and electricity flows.
• Check equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
• Adjust controls to regulate the flow of power as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
