Pembina US Pipeline Corporation’s Morris (Channahon), Illinois location at the Aux Sable NGL Fractionation Facility is actively hiring for an Operator to join the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division. Reporting to the Supervisor, Plant Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving safe operations of the Aux Sable facility. This includes maintaining continuous (24/7) operations of the NGL gas processing and pipeline distribution systems, mole sieve dehydration, cryogenic section, liquid hydrocarbon treating facilities, fractionation, propane refrigeration, and compression facilities.

Requirements

Related technical training and/or experience in oil or gas processing
High School diploma and valid Driver's license required
A demonstrated understanding and high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
Must live within 60 miles of the Aux Sable Facility.
Must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
The final candidate may be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check, Drug Screen (which includes testing for marijuana metabolites), and Fit for Duty Exam.

Responsibilities

Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”.
Ensure the effective operation of equipment in the Plant, follow all procedures, and write procedures as required for related plant operations.
Ensure smooth Plant operations, which includes monitoring, adjusting, setting, evaluating, troubleshooting, and checking mechanical equipment and instrumentation/electrical controls.
Facilitate effective Plant maintenance, which includes recording operation and maintenance actions taken during shift in the operation electronic logbook, writing appropriate work requests, and performing minor maintenance.
Perform required operational functions such as: Water treatment sampling and testing, chemical, waste, and hydrocarbon truck loading and unloading; Inventory and de-inventory of Merox vessels; Prepare vessels, pumps, instrumentation, and various equipment for maintenance; and Shift safety checks, housekeeping, and collection of daily samples.
Ensure compliance with all associated regulations and procedures: PSM - Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and procedures as needed; Attend all required safety and environmental training as part of Emergency Response Planning (ERP) and Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) protocols; Assist with the LOAR program by ensuring there is no open-ended piping and fixing leaks as necessary; Handle, package, and label hazardous, non-hazardous, special, and universal waste material in compliance with regulations; and Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
