About The Position
Wharton-Smith, Inc. currently has immediate openings in the Jacksonville area for an Operator (Heavy Equipment) position. We offer a competitive salary and field benefits. We are also seeking qualified crane operators for Central Florida.
Requirements
- Certification as required by OSHA or Manufacturer for specific pieces of equipment.
- Must have transportation to get to job site.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma and on-the-job training
- Experience working in the construction industry.
- Valid Driver’s license. This position will required travel throughout the NE Florida area.
- Rigging training.
Responsibilities
- Operates heavy equipment including, but not limited to, backhoes, material handlers, excavators, dozers, and loaders for use in foundation excavation, site grading, material placement and pipe laying.
