The Operator is responsible for ensuring machines are running properly at the proper speed, assisting maintenance to ensure machines are in proper operational condition, drawing mix for production, completing downtime reports and production sheets for the shift, ensuring quality standards of products are met, and ensuring the proper number of supplies is present for the shift. The role also involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production lines, producing quality Ziegenfelder treats for delivery to customers, leading and driving a team in a manner consistent with Ziegenfelder Values, following all GMP and SQF procedures and practices, assisting in training new personnel, ensuring the work area is clean and organized, and supporting Safety, Quality and the Operation Teams to produce and package quality Ziegenfelder treats. Additionally, the Operator must ensure that environmental and safety expectations are met during the shift and that exceptions, needs, and opportunities are addressed and shared via the Event Management application. They will also verify production paperwork to confirm completion and accuracy of raw material usage logs, metal detector calibrations, and product quality checks, and undertake proper corrective/preventative actions when there is a safety, quality, or defective product event.
