About The Position

This role involves operating metal cleaning equipment, including automated and manual cabinets, and troubleshooting equipment to resolve downtime issues. The operator will be responsible for producing quality work while maintaining operating efficiencies and adhering to plant safety rules. The position requires the ability to work in elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt, and grease, and to lift materials up to 50 lbs. The operator must also be capable of handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools in a high-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the ability to input data into Company computerized production tracking software.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use small hand tools as required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use standard measuring equipment as required by job duties.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to execute work instructions and the willingness to work in multiple areas as required by rotating assignments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use small hand tools and learn how to operate a forklift when required testing has been successfully completed.
  • Functional math skills required to complete job tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn the use of all gages and instruments required to related job tasks.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
  • Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Absentee record within company standards.
  • Increasing number of skills and cross training completed throughout at least one (1) year of work experience and ability to perform work as required within time standard efficiency for each operation.
  • Produce quality work while maintaining operating efficiencies.
  • Must be capable of operating multiple types of metal cleaning equipment including automated and manual cabinets.
  • Capable of troubleshooting equipment and working with maintenance to resolve all downtime issues.
  • Must be able to use all shot blast equipment including wheelabrator and manual cabinets.
  • Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
  • Work in a high-paced production environment to meet standards.
