About The Position

The Plant Production Operator is responsible for the safe operation of processing equipment and heavy machinery. This role involves monitoring and adjusting plant equipment to ensure product consistency and quality, maintaining accurate records, and operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently. The operator must also follow safety protocols, report maintenance needs, and communicate effectively with the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in plant or industrial manufacturing operations or other related fields.
  • Familiarity with basic tools and equipment.
  • Adept at handling complex machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle a physical workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Loader and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and adjust plant equipment to ensure the product is consistent and free from quality defects.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment settings and product quality information.
  • Follow established equipment operating guidelines and recognize issues as they arise.
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members effectively.
  • Operate wheel loader and forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Report on condition and items in need of maintenance.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
