About The Position

Pregis is hiring an Operator for their Lamination department. This role is responsible for assisting in the operation of assigned converting machine(s) to ensure product adheres to company standards for safety, quality, and throughput. Requirements

  • Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture.
  • Able to properly read and utilize a tape measure.
  • Ability to communicate with the team effectively and respectfully, including during shift transition.
  • Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stacking plank and keeping count of product downstream.
  • Assisting the Operator with entering production reporting data into the machine computer accurately.
  • Continuously monitoring machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are maintained.
  • Supporting, demonstrating, and promoting Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus, and innovation.
  • Adhering to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Performing housekeeping throughout the assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
  • Performing physical and visual inspection of product to prevent non-conforming goods.
  • Promptly reporting all quality defects to the appropriate team members and setting aside non-conforming goods for recycling.
  • Maintaining an appropriate level of production supplies/materials to ensure the next shift personnel incur minimal downtime.
  • Meeting or exceeding production rates, minimizing waste levels, and meeting all customer requirements.
  • Separating scrap by color coding appropriately.
  • Acquiring knowledge/skills of a Machine Operator to better assist and troubleshoot when needed.
  • Attending meetings and completing safety trainings as required.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
