We are searching for Casual Operators for our Ottawa location. The hours of work flex, they will be less during the summer months, then increase in the fall. The Operator is responsible for job rotation of intake, processing, and preparing of new and reused products. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the incumbent will handle scanning, sorting, and labeling of incoming products.

Requirements

Able to take initiative and work individually.
Able to work within a team environment.
Able to adapt to varying responsibilities.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
Secondary school diploma
CSA approved Safety Shoes are required for the position.
Must be able to lift a 30lbs box.
Must have good hand/eye coordination. Testing will be required.
Must be able to stand throughout an 8 hour shift involving twisting, and lifting.
May be required to use a computer or tablet throughout the shift.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading dirty/clean product into and out of an industrial dishwasher
Rotate to various areas; Scan, wash, and dry returned (dirty) products
Sort products based on size, scan into box, and package
Label new inventory and repackage into box
Prepare orders and organize inventory
Clean work area daily including sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces
