About The Position

ONEOK is seeking an Operator in Milford, IA. This role involves assisting with or performing activities related to pipeline system operations, maintaining the pipeline and its supporting equipment in compliance with regulations and safety standards, and ensuring equipment reliability and product quality. The schedule is Monday-Friday, dayshift with some overtime and callout. Responsibilities include operating pumping units, performing product sampling and analysis, gauging products, performing valve lineups, and maintaining location appearance and equipment. The role also involves assisting drivers and customers, performing truck rack and rail car operations, general maintenance, overseeing contractors, and processing invoices. This position requires working safely and may involve Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Employees must be alert and respond immediately to dangerous conditions where impaired performance could result in serious injury or property damage.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• One to three years industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to establish, prioritize assignments and complete assignments in a timely manner with supervision
• Ability to interact, negotiate, communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
• Ability to use tools and equipment including computers and related software
• Ability to apply basic arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

• Associate's Degree in Petroleum Tech or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform mainline operations of pumping units and operate refined product pumps
• Perform product sampling, run samples for analysis on in house lab equipment; measure location physical stock, meters, and additive variances.
• Gauge products transferred to and from tanks, trucks, rail cars, and pipelines.
• Perform valve lineups, switch and tank changes as required to move products in and out of storage.
• Work diligently and follow all safety requirements to prevent product contamination, spills and avoid product loss.
• Input information into computer programs and other system applications as required.
• Maintain location appearance, repair and replace equipment, maintain facility in exemplary compliance.
• Perform tank inspections, make analyses of tank contents and prepare records as required, make routine daily inspection of facilities.
• Assist drivers and customers, perform truck rack operations, and rail car offloading duties.
• Perform general maintenance responsibilities as directed, and assist area technicians as requested.
• Oversee contractors and process invoices
• Work in a safe manner, following company safety policies and programs.
• Responsible for other projects and assignments as directed.
• Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
