About The Position

This role is designed for an individual to be cross-trained in all positions of the Stock Line. The Operator Utility will also back up group lead functions and fill in as needed for any related position within the BPO area. The position supports the training and certification program, back-fills Group Leader roles during absences, and ensures all jobs in and around the BPO assigned areas are covered. The role involves working with Group Leaders and Quality personnel to resolve quality issues through corrective actions, conducting daily Quality Audits, and monitoring material flow. The associate will support Continuous Improvement initiatives, obtain an OSHA required TT forklift license, and assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role requires working scheduled and unplanned overtime, monitoring production charts, leading safety and housekeeping initiatives, and completing shift production paperwork. Other responsibilities may be assigned by a Supervisor or Group Leader.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Obtain or have forklift license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Manage ambiguity while working through stressful situations
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to work with others
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets

Responsibilities

  • Support the training and certification program in the BPO area
  • Back-fill Group Leader job positions and responsibilities in Group Leaders’ absences
  • Certified in all jobs in / around the BPO assigned areas to back-fill open positions
  • Work with Group Leaders & Quality personnel to resolve quality issues with corrective actions
  • As required, conduct daily and routine Quality Audits per established procedure & document results
  • Monitor and support material flow from and to the assigned area(s)
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives around Safety, Quality, and Productivity in the BPO area
  • Associate will have and or is able to obtain a OSHA required TT forklift license
  • As required, support Group Leaders & Supervisor in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Must be able to work scheduled and unplanned overtime to support daily objectives
  • As required, monitor hour by hour production charts & progress reporting issues to Group Leaders
  • Lead and help support Safety and housekeeping initiatives in the BPO area
  • Assist Group Leaders to complete all required shift production paperwork as needed
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to you by your Supervisor or Group Leader
  • Other duties as assigned
