About The Position

Maintain the pipeline and its supporting operational and monitoring equipment in compliance with regulations, company work practices, and safety standards. Ensure the reliability of equipment, and accurate measurement and quality of product transported through the system. Develop a positive working relationship with carriers. This position works night shift and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, meaning the union bidding process applies. Union posting guidelines outlined in the current collective bargaining agreement will be applied prior to considering external candidates.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to have regular attendance
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co-workers, supervisors, internal and external customers

• Ability to use a personal computer with the Windows(R) operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive email, and access information posted on the Company's intranet
• Ability to work on both a scheduled and call-out basis, as needed

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree Petroleum Tech or related field preferred
• Three years' experience in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor all product movements in to and out of the terminal and/or station via loading rack, unloading skid, or main line, including: mainline operations, transferring product to storage vessels; making valve lineups, operating refined product pumps; performing product sampling, running samples for analysis on in house lab equipment; measurement of location physical stock, meters, and additive variances.
• Input information into computer programs and perform daily facility inspections.
• Assist drivers and customers, perform truck rack operations duties.
• Assist technicians with maintenance duties and perform general maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Participate on the facility emergency response team.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements and implement them into location work practices.
• Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
• Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.
• Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
• Be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
