About The Position

This role involves ensuring compliance with all internal, environmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations. The trainee will be responsible for the safe connection and disconnection of hoses and pipelines, monitoring for leaks and spills, and taking corrective actions. Key duties include fulfilling responsibilities outlined in the Declaration of Inspection (DOI) and United States Coast Guard Manual, and safely loading/unloading tank trucks, tank cars, barges, and ships in accordance with procedures and regulations. The position also requires assisting in other terminal areas as directed by a Supervisor/Manager, and maintaining good safety awareness and housekeeping practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork.

Nice To Haves

  • One year industry related experience is preferred.
  • Process Technology degree and/or certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all internal, environmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure proper connection and disconnection of any hoses or pipelines.
  • Monitor for leaks and/or spills of product and take proper corrective action.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities identified in the Declaration of Inspection (DOI) and United States Coast Guard Manual.
  • Load/Unload tank trucks safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
  • Load/Unload tank cars safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
  • Load/Unload barges/ships safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
  • Assist in other areas of the terminal as requested by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Maintain good safety awareness and housekeeping practices.
