Function: Operations Job Summary: CF Industries offers many exciting and challenging opportunities at its world class production facility in Yazoo City Mississippi. This position is responsible monitoring various aspects of production, loading and shipping in process areas of our plant including; Ammonia, ANF, Nitric Acid/Urea and/or Shipping and Port facility.

Requirements

  • High School Graduation/GED required
  • Effective organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Strong math skills, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office IT environment including use of Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Academic degrees, certifications and/or licenses are preferred/desirable
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in chemical operations, oil/gas industry, railroad, construction or industrial setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the operation of and have full understanding of the process/equipment in assigned area.
  • Have full understanding of site environmental controls limits and take necessary actions to operate within those limits.
  • Operates valves and/or instruments to adjust; liquid levels, flows, temperatures, pressures, speed of equipment and starting/stopping of mechanical equipment.
  • Operates specialized equipment in an assigned area (i.e. incoming gas metering stations/electronic scale systems/handheld computer monitoring systems).
  • Makes frequent rounds throughout assigned area to collect process data and records data on daily data sheets for record keeping.
  • Requests work orders as necessary to maintain area in good operating order.
  • Safely and efficiently loads trucks and rail cars with outgoing product for shipment.
  • Unloads rail cars for upgrade into plant or chemicals used in the manufacturing process into bulk storage tanks.
  • Cleans and maintains railcars in company fleet.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the safe operation of switch engine and performance of switchman job.
  • Coordinates shipping and loading processes with related jobs in other areas within the plant and/or port facility.
