About The Position

Operate machines to complete one or more processes involved in manufacturing exhaust pipe assemblies and components. Work as an active member of a cellular operating group, supporting and performing tasks throughout the cell. Set up and operate machines, perform preventative maintenance, and rotate among workstations as needed. Handle materials and tools; operate machines; and assemble and inspect products of varying shapes, sizes, and weights while meeting quality, quantity, performance, safety, and environmental standards. Requirements

• Ability to read and understand work orders, machine manuals, directions, charts, and safety regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to learn and perform all jobs in the assigned cell group and rotate among workstations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in a cellular operating group and learn and perform the group's tasks.
• Set up and operate machines, perform preventative maintenance, and rotate to workstations within the cell as needed.
• Handle materials and tools; operate machines; and assemble and inspect products of varying shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Meet applicable quality, quantity, performance, safety, and environmental standards.
• Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on each machine, ensure machines are in safe working condition, and complete daily safety check-off lists.
• Maintain station control of operations, ensure machine parts meet specifications, inspect parts against quality standards, identify production and quality problems, and assist the Team Leader with correcting problems.
• Work according to applicable plant policies, handbooks, and work instructions.
• Work overtime as required or requested.
