About The Position

The Operator Sanitation is a new role responsible for successfully completing all required training, acquiring and demonstrating capability to competently perform all required tasks in a safe manner in order to advance to Miner 1 at the Red Lake Operation. The position will be on a 7/7 (12-hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario, with no access to camp or FIFO. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure, and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $114,589 to $155,032 CAD.

Requirements

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma
  • Successfully completed all relevant Common Core training modules.
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to work in an underground environment
  • Competent communication abilities
  • Flexible, and willing to work on a rotational shiftwork basis
  • Hard working and conscientious
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and interact with others
  • Willing and able to follow instructions
  • Self motivated
  • Willing to share knowledge and experienced with others
  • Able to work effectively alone and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior co-op work experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties with skills acquired as Miner 3, 4, 5 and 6.
  • Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required licensing (i.e. sanitation).
  • Perform tasks as directed under the direction of supervisor.
  • Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Comply with all safety procedures.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
  • Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
