About The Position
An Operator, Production Float is part of a detail-oriented, efficient production team at DSM-Firmenich. The role requires careful handling of products, applying quality-control and safety protocols, and accurately measuring, labeling, packaging, and documenting finished materials. Operators are expected to work efficiently under pressure to support deadlines and maintain a smooth production flow. The position is onsite in New Ulm, Minnesota, on the first shift.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and stand for long periods.
- Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE in accordance with company policy.
- Basic math skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Team-oriented.

Responsibilities
- Weigh raw materials accurately, using product codes, batch numbers, and SU’s to verify ingredients.
- Add materials accurately and promptly according to work-order sheets.
- Complete daily packing sheets and ensure finished products are packaged and labeled according to customer or internal-use instructions.
- Assist with pre-weighing materials and washing tanks and materials used in daily production.
- Provide accurate counts and packing sheets for daily production.
- Perform or follow GMPs to provide a quality product and enforce safety rules and procedures.
