Operator Packer 12 Hour Days
About The Position
Teel Plastics is seeking an Operator Packer for their day shift. This role involves preparing packaging, packaging finished products, conducting quality inspections, and interacting with the ERP system. Additional duties include assisting in line setup, making minor process adjustments, maintaining housekeeping, and undertaking special projects such as sorting, reworking, and grinding. The position requires working 7 am to 7 pm, including every other weekend. As a condition of employment, applicants must pass a background check and will participate in E-Verify to confirm work authorization.
Requirements
- High School or General Education diploma required.
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Must be able to write simple correspondence and effectively use the computer.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficient at using Microsoft Office Word, Excel.
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing or technical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspects parts and records according to inspection requirements.
- Packages and labels according to packaging instructions.
- Removes all old tooling and returns it to the proper designated areas.
- Cleans up the work area and prepares it for the next job.
- Cleans, sweeps, and organizes the workstation(s).
- Ensures all paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Inspects products and materials at various points during the manufacturing process for quality.
- Assists in setting up the line.
- Makes minor process adjustments.
- Performs housekeeping duties.
- Completes special projects assigned by the supervisor such as sorting, reworking, and grinding.
