About The Position
This is an entry-level position in the Molding Department. The operator will be responsible for various tasks related to the production of molded parts, including material handling, visual inspection, and reporting.
Requirements
- Ability to visually inspect parts for defects
- Ability to follow control plans for inspection and handling
- Ability to stop equipment immediately if non-conforming product is produced
- Ability to notify supervisor of problems
- Ability to complete hold tags and place product in hold area
- Ability to complete daily production reports
Responsibilities
- Putting material in hoppers
- Handling / placing product on appropriate skids / trays as described in control plans
- Visually inspect parts for defects (excessive burrs, chips, etc…)
- Inspect parts as necessary per control plans
- Stop equipment immediately in the event that non-conforming product is being produced
- Notify supervisor of any problems
- Complete appropriate hold tags as necessary
- Place product in hold area if necessary
- Complete daily production reports as required
