About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Grinder, EDM, or Laser machines to ensure parts conform to specifications. The role involves monitoring part dimensions using various precision tools, completing quality documentation, and assembling components according to customer orders. The position also requires building electrodes for Fast Hole EDM and adhering to safety-sensitive position requirements, including FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules. Requirements

• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages.
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Two years of experience in a production/shop position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicant must comply with all applicable FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Check paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.
