About The Position

BIOVAC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in physically demanding environments, enjoy travel, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. As an Operator, you will serve as a front-line representative of BioVac, responsible for operating specialized industrial cleaning equipment and supervising Technician I and II personnel. You’ll be expected to lead by example, uphold safety standards, and ensure each job is completed with precision and professionalism. Ideal candidates will possess at least 3 years of experience, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial cleaning or related field
  • Valid CDL (A or B)
  • Clean driving record eligible for company insurance
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform strenuous physical tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Personal qualities: humility, confidence, integrity, reliability, maturity, and self-awareness
  • Work is performed in outdoor industrial environments, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals.
  • Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Ability to work various shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Overnight travel required up to 50-75% of the time.
  • Ability to work 8–12-hour shifts, more if required on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead job site safety and ensure proper use of PPE
  • Operate BIOVAC equipment including Vac Trucks, Hydro Jetters, Pressure Washers, Hydro Blasters and Pickups
  • Conduct daily CDL inspections and maintain accurate logs
  • Perform pre-job setups and ensure proper equipment configuration
  • Identify and report equipment issues; ensure vehicles are fueled post-shift
  • Train and mentor subordinates, i.e. technicians
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Participate actively in team meetings and uphold a positive, professional attitude
  • Interpret and execute job work orders from supervisors or clients
  • Stop work and report concerns when safety issues arise
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently in various environmental conditions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot basic mechanical systems
  • Travel to job sites (approximately 50% overnight travel)
  • Working shifts (8–14 hours) outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Lift, bend, climb, and stand for long periods
  • Maintain a clean driving record
