About The Position

In this hands-on role, the Manufacturing Operator will identify, prioritize, and simultaneously accomplish multiple tasks using time management. You will perform tasks and motions ranging from basic in nature to complex. Repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies such as modules, boards, and panels. You will follow process flows, work instructions, standardized techniques, and sequence of operations in assembling parts, component installation, hand soldering, and sub-assemblies and units.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Years of Work Experience
  • Basic Computer Literacy
  • Able to follow instructions and production schedules
  • Adaptable and able to act quickly when problems arise
  • Attention to detail
  • Good coordination, motor skills and dexterity
  • Ability to stand for upwards of 10 hours a day; as well as lift, carry, move packages and materials up-to-40 lbs. on a regular basis; with or without special accommodations, is required
  • Prior Manufacturing experience
  • IPC Certification
  • Basic Microsoft Suite
  • Manufacturing Machine Operations
  • Strong Communication and Organizational Skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following Axon safety policies
  • Maintains quality standards according to process flows and work instructions
  • Must be able to demonstrate a mathematical aptitude in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Takes initiative and elevates accurate information to technicians and maintenance when needed
  • Knowledge of materials and production processes
  • An excellent understanding of equipment sequence and the impact and effects it has in the production process
  • The ability to evaluate and complete quality checks
  • Always maintains housekeeping in areas to 7-S standards.
  • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures related to tooling / equipment changeover(s), checklists, tooling maintenance, tooling repair, tooling storage and retrieval and tool shop housekeeping.
  • Must be self-directed and reliable
  • Looks for process errors and brings them forward to supervisor
