About The Position

This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency. The Operator III, Molding & Tooling Production Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks related to operating molding tools and equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining high production standards. In this role, a typical day will include: Handle complex manual or operational tasks related to operating molding tools and equipment with minimal supervision Perform quality inspections using gauges and fixtures, and monitor quality statistically to ensure compliance with standards Follow work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Documentation Practice requirements Handle materials and operate automated equipment Resolve minor issues as they arise Participate in mold changes and collaborate with various departments Troubleshoot medical device molds Conduct optical tool inspection, assembly, set-up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeover Operate the solvent supply and disposal system for production and research Adhere to Good Practice regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate and complete documentation, and ensuring rigorous quality control Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements Contribute to the overall compliance of the organization

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
