About The Position

Reviews line requirements for ingredients and packaging; keeps equipment and employees supplied with necessary materials as defined by product specification; conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Math skills
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun
  • Demonstrates manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment using hands, lifting arms and reaching over the head, frequent bending/stooping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for a full shift
  • Must be able to push and pull wheeled bowls in excess of 750lbs
  • Must be able to work over 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day- ability to work overtime is required
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish

Responsibilities

  • Understands product specification sheet and makes the necessary changes in tools and supplies ingredients and packaging in accordance with product type and production requirements to the line.
  • Performs set-ups and adjustments on all finishing department equipment.
  • Reviews line requirements for ingredients and packaging and keeps equipment and employees supplied with the necessary material as defined by product specifications on an ongoing basis.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work area and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitors equipment performance and reports damaged or faulty equipment to supervisor.
  • Inspects various packaging materials for uniformity before use and notifies supervisor of faulty material.
  • Inspects raw materials and finished product for uniformity and rejects product out of specification.
  • Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies.
  • Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
