About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates and monitors plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. It involves performing routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery, loading, unloading, and moving materials using mobile equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The Operator I must follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate equipment and follow operational procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable, safety-focused mindset with good communication skills
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery
- Load, unload, and move materials using mobile equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures and standards
