The Microbiology Division provides solutions and workflow for food, clinical, and pharmaceutical environments. The markets we serve include food manufactures and labs, clinical and healthcare, pharma, and biotech. We manufacture culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products serving customers in the pharmaceutical, food, and clinical laboratories. As a Manufacturing Operator you will carry out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instruction Documents as they relate to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment
  • Ability to lift product up to 50lbs
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
  • Understand and perform basic math

Nice To Haves

  • Aseptic experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all written procedures.
  • Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP’s, DHR’s, etc.) to the Area Supervisor.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Refer to job specific job Safety Analysis.
  • Perform all work activities in a safe manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clutter free work area.
  • Clean up all spills immediately.
  • Listen to, follow and relay written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Report property damage and /or safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management immediately.
  • Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.
  • Continuously monitor product for defects.
  • Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery.
  • Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor or Lead.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. This includes all assigned equipment.
  • Read, understand, and complete required documentation. All paperwork shall be accurately and neatly completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Set up and adjust machine to run a variety of sizes and types using tools to adjust machine.
  • Actively engage in making suggestions for process improvement.
  • Encourage an atmosphere of collaboration.
