About The Position

The Operator Grader is responsible for operating the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to ensure the roadways are accessible, safe and in good operating condition at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy. The position will be on a 14/14 (12 – hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario with no access to FIFO or Camp. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $104,000 to $140,706 CAD.

Requirements

Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Valid driver's license
Minimum of 2 years of directly-related experience
Demonstrated competence in operator skills
Orientation of all areas of responsibility on any complex (e.g., yard, roads, etc).
Extensive knowledge of equipment’s use, capability, capacity, and tolerance
Ability to identify the different between normal wear, unusual wear and damage to equipment
Excellent hand-eye coordination with strong mechanical aptitude
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere
Competent written communication and record-keeping ability with good spelling and grammar skills
Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants
Self starter
Displays initiative, and works productively with limited supervision
Cooperative, flexible team player willing and capable of working on various work schedules
Adapts well to constant change

Responsibilities

Operate the grader and other heavy equipment including three and two yard scoops in a safely and efficiently.
Ensure complete orientation, training and competence prior to operating any piece of equipment (loader, backhoe, tandem, grader, dozer, forklift, etc).
Perform daily circle checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
Ensure equipment is clean, properly maintained and in top operating condition.
Maintain year-round yard and roads for safe use of others.

Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
