About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. 3M is seeking Operator Formulator V candidates for 3M Indianapolis, Indiana. Full- time: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Shifts available – Immediate hire for 2nd. Starting Rate: $22.77 + Shift Differentials. New hires start with 3 weeks’ paid vacation. Health, vision, and dental start day one. Employee stock discount. 401K Match of 5%. Here, you will make an impact by: Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Recognizes numerous process and product defects, diagnoses and performs process trouble shooting, makes a variety of process adjustments including temperature, line speed, air flow rate, positioning, centering, gap, etc. Must comprehend and utilize PLC & MMI computer-controlled interface with equipment. Uses test and measuring equipment in the manufacturing of finished goods. Uses pneumatic presses and punch out equipment. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
  • Work Rotating Shifts, Overtime, Extended Hours, Weekends, Holidays as needed, and short notice shift coverage.
  • Minimum two (2) months of operating production machinery.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six (6) months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
