About The Position

The Rigger / Operator Foreman leads rigging and lifting operations at a fabrication facility in Houma, Louisiana. Responsibilities

• Conduct morning and afternoon safety and quality meetings covering highlighted topics.
• Ensure daily equipment inspections and JSEA activities are performed.
• Create lift plans in accordance with equipment capacities, plan lifting operations, and study plans before execution.
• Maintain and track rigging, and ensure routine maintenance or repairs are performed on company equipment.
• Direct riggers and helpers attaching and detaching structures, piping, vessels, and other items.
• Inspect rigging before use, control exclusion or barricaded zones, verify safe working loads, and stop unsafe work when needed.
• Coordinate with operators during standard and tandem lifts using standard hand signals or radio communications.
• Communicate critical lift plans with supervisors and project managers, and request specialized rigging as needed for specific scopes.
