About The Position

JOIN AKWEL AND BE PART OF OUR ADVENTURE IN A FAMILY-RUN, INDEPENDENT GROUP WITH A LONG-TERM VISION. A FIRST-CLASS AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS MANUFACTURER SPECIALIZING IN FLUID MANAGEMENT, MECHANISMS, AND STRUCTURAL PARTS, AKWEL OFFERS STATE-OF-THE-ART INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EXPERTISE IN APPLYING AND PROCESSING MATERIALS (PLASTICS, RUBBER, METAL) AND MECHATRONIC INTEGRATION. WE ARE SEEKING OPERATORS FOR THE FINISHING DEPARTMENT ON THE 3RD SHIFT. THIS IS A REGULAR FULL-TIME POSITION WITH A WAGE OF $16.00 - $16.65 HOURLY. THE FINISHING/VALIDATION SHIFT HOURS ARE 3RD SHIFT FROM 11:00 PM TO 7:00 AM, WITH TRAINING POTENTIALLY OCCURRING ON 1ST OR 3RD SHIFT AND OVERTIME AS NEEDED. NEW HIRE TRAINING MAY OCCUR ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT BEFORE MOVING TO THE ASSIGNED SHIFT. THE JOB TYPE IS FULL TIME WITH 8-HOUR SHIFTS, INCLUDING BREAKS AND A LUNCH PERIOD. AKWEL IS A STABLE, INDOOR/YEAR-ROUND EMPLOYER IN A MODERN, INDUSTRIAL PLANT THAT PROVIDES ALL BASIC TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.

Requirements

Application must be fully completed.
Must be able to pass a Fit for Duty and Drug Screen prior to placement.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Able to provide at least 2 working references with dates, names and phone numbers.
Available to work up to 5 days a week, including Overtime and Saturdays.
Understand that the company has a Zero Tolerance Policy for drugs.
Have not been convicted of any violent felonious act.
Must pass an interview with our hiring team, as well as the supervisor of the shift in which they will be assigned.
Ability to work in a warm environment.
Ability to lift/push/pull over 50lbs (including overhead).

Responsibilities

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional daily basis.
Ability to use hands/arms for repetitive button pushing for the majority of the shift.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. on a constant/daily basis, including overhead pushing and pulling.
Ability to use hands/arms for repetitive gripping, pushing and pulling for the majority of the shift as well as potential ability to work over the shoulder for a portion of the shift, if necessary.
Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Procedures related to the area and accurately perform the job trained for.
Cross train within the department.
