About The Position

AKWEL is a family-run, independent group with a long-term vision, specializing in fluid management, mechanisms, and structural parts for the automotive industry. We offer state-of-the-art industrial and technological expertise in applying and processing materials (plastics, rubber, metal) and mechatronic integration. This role is for a full-time, manual labor position on the 2nd shift, operating extrusion machinery.

Requirements

Application must be fully completed.
Must be able to pass a Fit for Duty and Drug Screen prior to placement.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Able to provide at least 2 working references with dates, names and phone numbers.
Available to work up to 5 days a week, including Overtime and Saturdays.
Understand that the company has a Zero Tolerance Policy for drugs.
Have not been convicted of any violent felonious act.
Must pass an interview with our hiring team, as well as the supervisor of the shift in which they will be assigned.
Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift and occasional Saturdays.
Ability to work overtime (coming in early or staying over late for shift).

Mechanical ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate extrusion machinery.
Lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional daily basis.
Use hands/arms for repetitive button pushing, gripping, pushing, and pulling for the majority of the shift.
Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. on a constant/daily basis, including overhead.
Lift/push/pull over 50 lbs. (including overhead).
Work in a hot environment.
Read and understand Work Instructions and Procedures.
Accurately perform the job trained for.
Work overtime as needed/required.
Work weekend schedules including Sundays, as required.
Potentially work over the shoulder for a portion of the shift, if necessary.
