About The Position

AKWEL is a family-run, independent group and a first-class automotive equipment and systems manufacturer specializing in fluid management, mechanisms, and structural parts. We offer state-of-the-art industrial and technological expertise in applying and processing materials (plastics, rubber, metal) and mechatronic integration. We are seeking an Operator for the Extrusion department on the 1st shift.

Requirements

• Application must be fully completed.
• Must be able to pass a Fit for Duty and Drug Screen prior to placement.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Able to provide at least 2 working references with dates, names and phone numbers.
• Available to work up to 5 days a week, including Overtime and Saturdays.
• Understand that the company has a Zero Tolerance Policy for drugs.
• Have not been convicted of any violent felonious act.
• Must pass an interview with our hiring team, as well as the supervisor of the shift in which they will be assigned.
• Ability to work overtime as needed/required.
• Ability to work weekend schedules including Sundays, is required.
• Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift and occasional Saturdays.
• Willingness to come in early or stay over late for shift as needed for weekly overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional daily basis in a warm environment.
• Ability to use hands/arms for repetitive button pushing, gripping, pushing, and pulling for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. on a constant/daily basis, including overhead, and work in a hot environment.
• Ability to lift/push/pull over 50lbs (including overhead) may be required.
• Potential ability to work over the shoulder for a portion of the shift, if necessary.
• Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Procedures.
• Accurately perform the job trained for.
• Ability to work overtime as needed/required.
• Ability to work weekend schedules including Sundays, is required.
• Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift and occasional Saturdays.
• Willingness to come in early or stay over late for shift as needed for weekly overtime.
