About The Position
The Operator, Digital Press is responsible for all aspects of operating the digital printing equipment to production and quality standards. Presses that are included under “Digital Press”: Indigo, Wide Format, Dye Sublimation, Onset, Durst, Vutek, Spyder.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.
Nice To Haves
- Previous print industry experience.
- Experience using an ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
- Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor production output throughout the run for quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions.
- Ensure materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
- Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures.
- Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder.
- Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
