About The Position

The Operator C (Rockhound) at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Rockhound attachment on heavy equipment to clear and prepare land for construction projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety protocols. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically with Rockhound attachments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand site plans and project specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Rockhound attachments on various heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, skid steers) to efficiently remove rocks, debris, and other obstacles from designated work areas.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment and attachments, identifying and reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment, adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding project progress, potential hazards, and equipment issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and attachments as required.
  • Assist with other general labor duties on site as needed, including material handling and site clean-up.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed and equipment usage.
  • Work effectively in varying weather conditions and demanding outdoor environments.
  • Follow directions and instructions from supervisors to ensure project goals are met.
