About The Position

Operates or directs other workers to operate bottling line that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, and/or labeling. Ensures correct box type and packing methods are used. Starts bottling line and observes operation to ensure the line is operating properly. Stops bottling line and reports malfunction to supervisor. Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, setting guides, or clearing away damaged product containers. Inspects filled bottles to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. Feeds product to hoppers and unloads packaged product. Replenishes packaging supplies such as bottles, caps, ink, and labels. Rotates job duties with the Bottling Packaging Assistant.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Talk and hear
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
