About The Position

The Operator 2, Machine Molding operates molding equipment on the production machine to safely manufacture the required quantity of finished product while meeting quality standards and customer specifications. The position reports to the Cell Lead and is based in St. Albans, Vermont.

The role follows one of two stated schedules: Sunday through Tuesday, 7:00 a.m.–7:15 p.m., plus Wednesday, 7:00 a.m.–1:15 p.m.; or Thursday, 1:00 a.m.–7:15 p.m., plus Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 p.m.–7:15 a.m. A 20% hourly shift differential is offered. Duties may change or additional tasks may be assigned as business needs require. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Math skills.
• Class 3 Fork Lift and Handcart certification, required.
• Ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods.
• Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach frequently.
• Ability to climb stairs often.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds often.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical ability or aptitude.
• Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
• Perform the duties of an Operator 1, Machine Molding.
• Set up equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Perform additional machine quality checks, including checks of product appearance and shape.
• Enter performance confirmations and shift information into SAP.
• Communicate KPI metrics at shift change, including rate, re-melt generation, and downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance, small repairs, and/or improvements to the machine.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Cross-train into other Operator Level 2 positions within the department if needed.
• Cross-train into a Level 2 position within a secondary department if needed.
