About The Position
Operator 1 is responsible for Sort & Pack Operations including lessor skilled work than that of Labor Grade 5 on the shop floor in compliance with IATF 16949 Standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Highly motivated
- Strong time management and priorities management skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
- BPCS experience a plus.
- Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers
- Metrics driven
Responsibilities
- Responsible for continuous operation of machinery in order to eliminate any unnecessary downtime.
- Able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards.
- Able to operate all mobile equipment.
- May be Responsible for material handling, overhead cranes, and pulling racks from chambers.
- Must be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other similar devices.
- Responsible for sorting, packaging, gluing and dumping scrap.
- Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and on- time.
- Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.
- Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
