About The Position

Reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their normal work shift ends. Signs off on safety commitments. This role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for production areas.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift 60-75lbs.
• Must meet required job-specific training located in the Training Register.

Responsibilities

• Keep machines clean and in good running condition.
• Keep accurate records of carton/film usage, downtime and jam ups.
• Clear up jams in a timely manner.
• Follow proper safety measures.
• Keep cartons/film loaded correctly during production.
• Ensure packers receive a pouch of the new code.
• Verbally communicate new code to packers.
• Notify inspectors when they can load a new code on the line.
• Change codes on printer based on code requirements.
• Check cartons/pouches immediately after code changes.
• Compare pouch code to carton code and check for proper glue.
• Notify mechanic of all machine problems.
• Unload cartons/film and clean machine at end of shift.
• Routinely check glue pots, ink bottles, or ink pads.
• Monitor line processing and complete required paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
