About The Position

The Operator 1 manufactures products according to supplied Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a clean, controlled environment. The role also maintains accurate raw material inventories and follows the Quality Policy. The position supports production chemistry, manufacturing documentation and materials handling, laboratory supply and equipment maintenance, and housekeeping of the production area.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory technology field, such as Chemistry or Biology, or at least 2 years of production experience as a high-level Chemical Operator/Technician or equivalent.
Organizational and documentation skills, and basic problem-solving ability.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to take work direction.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skills appropriate for work responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Manufacture products according to SOPs and direction from the production planner.
Prepare and submit samples to the appropriate Quality Control department.
Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing.
Transfer and issue consumed raw materials to batches through the MRP system.
Maintain thorough, current production and accounting forms.
Review completed batch records for GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) compliance.
Monitor raw material inventory.
Monitor inventory of general laboratory supplies.
Maintain laboratory equipment and document maintenance activities.
Oversee routine housekeeping in the production area, including cleaning process equipment.
Keep equipment on a preventative maintenance schedule.
