About The Position
Join dsm-firmenich as an Operator 1 and become a key contributor in our manufacturing team. Based at our St. Louis facility, you’ll play a hands-on role setting up, operating, and sanitizing bottling equipment to meet precise order specifications. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven reliability and punctuality
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills
- Physically able to pass a fit test and perform lifting requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or similar environments
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP procedures
Responsibilities
- Set up machines accurately according to computer-generated batch reports and order specifications
- Operate bottling, filling, and labeling equipment while maintaining high productivity
- Clean and sanitize equipment between orders, upholding strict food safety and plant sanitation standards
- Comply with all safety, emergency, conduct, and maintenance policies
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and utilize HACCP procedures in daily routines
- Safely lift packages up to 50 pounds and handle 55-gallon drums as needed
- Pull product samples for quality analysis following established procedures
- Support Team Leaders and Supervisors by training new employees and participating in competency reviews
