About The Position

Join a fast-paced, hands-on team in San Diego as an Operator 1, Packaging Operations. In this essential role, you'll ensure the quality and compliance of clinical and commercial product packaging, supporting a company dedicated to high standards and operational excellence. This contract position offers potential for extension based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months of industry experience in packaging or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in completing documentation accurately
• Familiarity with computer systems and business software
• Basic math skills for calculations and record-keeping
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and rotating shifts if needed

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Experience handling hazardous waste
• Previous work in a GMP-regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished products to meet customer and internal requirements
• Ensure all packaging processes comply with company procedures and quality specifications
• Identify and remove defective products or packaging materials during in-process checks
• Accurately document packaging activities, including device history records and inventory counts
• Complete simple mathematical calculations to support batch record completion
• Participate in regular inventory counting and safety audits
• Maintain a clean and organized packaging station and equipment
• Follow all personal protective equipment and contamination control protocols
• Safely handle hazardous waste as required
